Let me convey my best regards and wishes to the wuhan International friendship sister City Development Forum from Duisburg, Wuhan， twin city in the Federal Republic of Germany. I wish the City of wuhan and the delegates from 11 cities of different countries that your encounters during the course of this event go well and may this, furthermore, result in the sustainable reinforcement of the contacts and relationships between cities linked by friendship.

I am convinced that the Wuhan International Friendship Sister City Development Forum will leave any amount of traces behind in the cities involved and that in various aspects of their social, cultural and economic development they will be able to derive a multitude of used from cross-border contacts in the framework of these twinning links.
